Have fun learning the ancient art & modern styles of this dynamic dance with Na'ila (Sherry Coffey), 2002 Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Danse Orientale Award recipient and certified Global Caravan Tribal Bellydance® instructor. Na'ila has been teaching classes and performing at restaurants throughout Southwest Florida since 1995, and has been featured in area magazines, papers and TV segments.
Belly Dancing is a great way to tone the whole body and improve posture, flexibility and coordination. It's a wonderful for stress relief and can be a creative outlet, an empowering and artistic expression of femininity. Connecting with the community of dancers is another benefit of learning to Belly Dance!
Classes are usually offered as 4 to 6 week series at various places throughout SW Florida.
Workshops at your location and via Zoom may also be available.

ATTIRE: Please wear comfortable workout/yoga clothes and bare feet or dance shoes. Form-fitting clothing is helpful but you don't have to show your belly. Hip scarves are optional and are available for purchase from the instructor for $10-15 cash.

Tribal Bellydance is an exciting community oriented style—a fusion of urban, folk, and ritual dances—a contemporary blend of the folkloric, nomadic, and classical dances of the Middle East, Spain, India, Egypt. It is esthetically pleasing, spiritually grounding, physically rewarding—a shared celebration of women.
Tribal Bellydance is about the empowerment of the dancers as they improvisationally and collectively dance in their circle, a community of all sizes and ages. It is a dance for every body. And it is good for toning up, laughing, and feeling great in your body!
